Shifts per cycle: 20 shifts
Length of shift cycle: 6 weeks
Shift Pattern: Days/Nights/Weekends

SUMMARY OF WORK:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the overall care of the Residents at the Long-Term Continuing Care Unit. The Registered Nurse will provide direction to the Health Care Aide and Licensed Practical Nurse Teams. Liaise with the physician and other departments in regards to the Residents. The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care using the nursing process, contributes to the Accommodation and Continuing Care standards and performs other related duties to assist in the provision of quality care.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Registration with the College & Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA)
- Bachelor of Nursing Degree from an approved nursing education program.
- CPR Certification (Heart and Stoke)
- Wound Care Certification
- Geriatric nursing experience
- Understanding of Blood Tribe culture, tradition, and language preferred.
