Program: Continuing Care-Nutrition Services
Position: Casual
Reporting to: Nutrition Services Manager

Summary of Work:

Under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Supervisor, the Cook prepares and cooks a variety of foods for the Residents of Long-Term Care and the Clients of Bringing the Spirit Home programs.  

Professional Qualifications:
  • Current CPR, to be re-certified annually.
  • WHMIS current and keep updated.
  • Have necessary communications and interpersonal skills to provide effective interaction between all persons, including co-workers.
  • Function independently and effectively
  • Have effective organizational skills.
  • Understanding of the Blackfoot culture and language.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to:
    • Function independently and effectively in a dynamic environment.
    • set priorities in the face of multiple demands.
  • Assume responsibility to maintain or improve personal health and well-being.
  • Able to provide and receive constructive feedback.
Salary Range:
  • In accordance with the Blood Tribe Department of Health salary grid.
