Program: Long-Term Care
Reporting To: Nurse Manager or Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse on duty.Summary of Work:
The File Clerk will be responsible to assist the entire Human Resources team, must be conscientious to ensure our organization’s records are correctly sequenced and filed, and to capture tracking information in electronic databases. The file clerk gathers documentation from internal departments, and codes material chronologically, alphabetically, and by subject matter. Store hard copies of documents such as invoices, receipts and forms, and create new files and manuals. Retrieve information on request, ensure records are returned to appropriate locations and request records from other external locations.
Professional Qualifications:
- Graduate of approved administrative assistant program (or related program).
- Completion of High School.
- Minimum of two years of experience in related area.
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) is required. Advanced level of proficiency will be considered as asset.
- Handling confidential and sensitive information and a high level of trust.
- Strong attention to detail, effective and pro-active problem-solving skills, self-motivation and the ability to prioritize a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong team player with the ability to build collaborative working relationships.
Salary Range:

Mental Health Counsellor

Reporting To: Director of Wellness ProgramSummary of Work:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Wellness Program and the Clinical Lead, the Mental Health Counsellor, provides supervised care to clients and their families by applying professional mental health practice standards involving a wide range of activities associated with assessments, implementation of interventions, counselling, including group therapy, provision of resource/support services, aftercare plans and advocacy.
Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Psychology, Social Work or Addictions Counseling, or equivalent.
- Certifications as required by program/department.
- Current ASIST, certification to be re-certified every two years.
- Current CISM certification, to be re-certified every three years.
- Current Class 4 driver’s license.
- Knowledge and experience in traditional and contemporary healing practices and experience in working with Elders, healers and clinicians.
- Minimum of two years of experience in related field.
- Knowledge of the Blackfoot culture and traditions.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Ability to speak and understand Blackfoot language is a definite asset.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational and facilitation skills.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills such as Word, e-mail, Power-Point, Excel and desktop publishing.
- Exemplifies a caring and compassionate work ethic.

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Wellness Program and the Clinical Lead, the Addictions Counsellor, is responsible to provide treatment services in an ‘outpatient’ or ‘in-community’ setting. The Addictions Counsellor will provide counselling services to individuals, groups, and family members for substance abuse, and related problems as required, liaises with other substance abuse professionals to create treatment plans for a broad range of addiction issues.
Professional and Personal Qualities:
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Ability to speak and understand Blackfoot language is a definite asset.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational and facilitation skills.

Driver

Reporting to: Wellness Program DirectorSummary of Work:
Transport all scheduled clients to and from Day Treatment Program. Driver is to possess an excellent driving record and good comprehension skills. Driver will maintain professionalism and adhere to strict confidentiality ethics regarding all clients and employees. The Driver will have the ability to drive for long periods and travel distances as required. Driving is required during business hours and when deemed after hours and some weekends.
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure client safety by adhering to all Alberta Provincials Highway Laws, road signs and speed limits.
- Good communication skills between Day Treatment and Wellness Program Employees, Passengers and general public.
- Keep Wellness Program Vehicles maintained, cleaned at all times and fueled.
- Assist Day Treatment/Wellness Program Employees with other duties as required.
Professional & Personal Qualifications:
- Current CPR and First Aid certificate
- Naloxone Training
- Current Class 4 License
- Minimum of 2-5year’s experience
Salary Range:
- In accordance with the Blood Tribe Department of Health salary grid.

Reporting to: Wellness Program DirectorSummary of Work:
Under the supervision of the Director of Wellness Program, the Shelter Coordinator is responsible to provide leadership and direction for employees of the Standoff Shelter. Responsibilities include overall operations and service delivery, while enhancing the development and safety of all employees. The Coordinator will also be responsible to maintain current budget, involvement in the recruitment and selection process and development of policies and procedures.
Professional & Personal Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Management or other related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years relevant work experience.
- Must posses a class 5 drivers license.
- Exemplifies a caring and compassionate work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and programs including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Innovative conflict resolution skills.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely at a level appropriate to the target audience.
