Position: 1.0 Permanent
Reporting to: Office Manager
Summary of Work:
The File Clerk will be responsible for the Resident Management System, Master Resident Index, as well as organizing, storing, filing, and retrieving discharge Health Records. Must be conscientious to ensure our organization’s Health Records are correctly sequenced and filed, and to capture tracking information in electronic databases. The Health Record file clerk gathers discharge charts and documentation from Long-term Care. Files discharge charts chronologically, alphabetically, and by subject matter. Retrieve information on request, and ensure records are returned to appropriate locations. Maintain strict confidentiality of Resident information. Protects Resident information through safe, secure, and proper storage.
Professional Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved Health Information Management program (or related program).
- Completion of High School.
- Minimum of two years of experience in the related area.
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) is required. An advanced level of proficiency will be considered an asset.
- Handling confidential and sensitive information and a high level of trust.
- Strong attention to detail, effective and pro-active problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and the ability to prioritize a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong team player with the ability to build collaborative working relationships.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Salary Range:
- In accordance with the Blood Tribe Department of Health salary grid.

The Dietary Aide 2 is responsible to clear tables, clean kitchen areas, wash dishes and perform various other activities to assist workers who are preparing or serving food and beverages in Long Term Care and Bring the Spirit Home programs.

- Operate large and commercial kitchen equipment.
- Have necessary communications and interpersonal skills to provide effective interaction between all persons, including co-workers.

- Have effective organizational skills
- Understand the Blackfoot culture and language.

Reporting To: Nurse Manager or Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse on duty.Summary of Work:
The Health Care Aide (HCA) reports directly to the Registered Nurse/ Licensed Practical Nurse on duty. Performs personal care activities; interacts with Residents, family, and staff in a positive and supportive manner.
Professional Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved/accredited HCA program
- CPR certificate
- First Aid certificate
- Other certificates as required by program.
- Related health care experience
- Safe food handling certificate
Personal Qualities:
- Shall be mature, pleasant, and exercise a high degree of initiative and judgment.
- Must have the necessary communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective interaction between all persons, including coworkers.
- Must act with integrity and treat all information regarding Residents, physicians, employees, and the financial and operational status of the organization as confidential.
- Knowledge of the roles of the multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of community resources preferred.
- Application of proper body mechanic principles.
- Able to set priorities in the face of multiple demands.
- Able to provide and receive feedback.
- Ability to function effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Able to sit, walk, transfer, lift, carry equipment and supplies.
- Must be fully immunized.
