The BTDH Communications Officer ensures timely and effective communications and uses content and copy to help boost the BTDH’s brand both internally and externally; writing and editing content for promotional and technical materials; handling media inquiries; working in collaboration with the Blood Tribe Communications Dept. and respective BTDH programs, services and entities; builds and maintains effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and teams; ensures any content writing requests are fulfilled; monitoring the BTDH brand reputation; developing an overall communications strategy – which could include events, social media, website content, press conferences and emails; creating timely content for whatever platform it will be published on; design, layout and graphics for promotional materials and reports; developing a Data Dashboard to integrate all our data from various sources, as data drives policy, informed decisions and Data Sovereignty; managing, planning, and coordinating media events; and writing and developing media materials which can include video, audio, photography, press releases, media advisories, public service announcements, and social media posts
