Health Care Aide-Stabilization
REPORTS TO: Stabilization Coordinator and Clinician
SUMMARY OF WORK:
The Health Care Aide is responsible for providing essential and important daily living support to Stabilization clients by providing appropriate and safe care as well as personal assistance and support; and encouraging independence and self-care. The Health Care Aide is also responsible for providing support to the interdisciplinary team and provides respectful and culturally-safe services in a safe and supportive environment. This position may include working days, evenings and nights.
PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL QUALITIES:
- Certificate from an approved accredited Health Care Aide program.
- Current registration with the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
- Current Class 4 Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract
- Other certifications/competencies as required by the Organization.
- Current CPR certification, to be re-certified annually.
- Current First Aid certification, to be re-certified every three years.
- Safe food handling certificate
- Have necessary communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective interaction between all persons, including coworkers.
- Have effective organizational skills.
- Have time management skills.
- Ability to:
- Work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Function independently and effectively in a dynamic environment
- Set priorities in the face of multiple demands.
- Assume responsibility to maintain or improve personal health and well-being.
- Able to provide and receive constructive feedback.
SALARY RANGE:
- As per Blood Tribe Department of Health Salary Grid
